There’s something about the start of a new season that makes us want to take a fresh look at our closets. We’re not starting from scratch, but we are always looking for a few pieces that make what we already own feel new again.
What made our fall list is a mix of great denim, richer colors, pretty prints, layers, and accessories we can already picture wearing in so many ways. These are the pieces that have us genuinely excited to get dressed this season!
Denim Button-Down
A denim button-down is one of those pieces we always find a reason to wear. We love this one with jeans, trousers, or layered open over a tee. It’s also an easy piece to carry into cooler weather when we start wanting an extra layer.
Burgundy Lace Top
This rich burgundy color immediately caught our eye! The lace detailing makes it feel extra special with a simple pair of jeans. We love when a top has enough detail that you really don’t have to do much else to the outfit.
Printed Dress
Such a good dress for this in-between time of year. Wear it now on its own, then add a cardigan or jacket as the temperatures drop. We love pieces that don’t have to be packed away as soon as the weather starts changing.
Wide-Leg Jeans
We love the wide leg and oversized patch pockets on these. They’re a fun update when you want something different from your everyday denim. Add a simple top and let the shape of the jeans be the interesting part of the outfit.
Argyle Cardigan
We love the preppy feel of this argyle cardigan! The black and white keeps it easy to style, while the pop of red makes it a little more fun. Wear it buttoned with jeans or layer it over a simple tee.
Plaid Skirt
The brown plaid feels so right for the season. Add a simple sweater and boots and you have an outfit in minutes. We also love it with a tee or button-down while the temperatures are still a little warmer.

Looking at what made our fall list, there’s definitely a theme: rich colors, interesting details, great denim, and pieces that can easily mix into the closets we already have.
