Labor Day weekend always gets us excited to start thinking about fall style, even if the weather hasn’t quite caught up yet. We’re ready for the rich colors, great denim, pretty dresses, boots, and all the layers that come with a new season. There’s just something about fall clothes that makes getting dressed fun again!
And when the Labor Day sales start, we’re definitely looking. We’re not interested in buying something just because it’s marked down, so we went through the sales and pulled out the pieces we’d actually want in our own closets. White Blouse
A white blouse is always one of our most-worn pieces, and we love the pretty texture on this one. Wear it now with jeans, then add a cardigan or jacket when it gets cooler.
Fall Olive Dress
This color immediately caught our attention for fall! The embroidery makes it feel special, and it’s an easy dress to wear now with sandals and later with boots.
Wide-Leg Denim
We’re still very much on board with wide-leg jeans, especially going into fall. The darker denim and side detail make this pair a little different from everything else in our closets, and even better when you can grab them on sale.
Zip-Up Dress
We cannot get enough of brown right now, and this dress is such a good way to wear it. We’d pair it with sandals while it’s warm, then switch to boots as we get further into fall.
Plaid Fall Jacket
This jacket has us ready for the first cool morning! The plaid and corduroy-style collar are so good together, and it’s exactly what we’d throw over jeans and a simple tee.

The colors in this dress are SO good for fall. We love that the print does all the work, so you really only need a great pair of boots and your favorite bag.
Floral Cardigan
This is not your basic cardigan, which is exactly why we love it. The black floral detail is so cute with denim, and a sale is the perfect time to pick up a sweater you’ll wear all season.

Now this is a fun fall layer! We love the houndstooth and rich brown tones, and it would look so good over a simple sweater with jeans and boots.
Tote Bag
Chocolate brown suede feels especially good this year, and this bag is such an easy way to bring it into your wardrobe. It’s roomy enough for everyday and will look even better paired with all those fall sweaters and jackets.

A great brown boot can completely change what you already have in your closet for fall. We’d wear these with midi dresses, skirts, and even tucked under wide-leg denim.
There are so many good Labor Day sales happening, but these are the pieces that really stood out to us. We tried to focus on things we know we’d actually wear throughout fall and that can mix right into what we already own.
